Timbers On the Road

The Timbers are on the road this weekend and the official press release gives the juicy details.

No injuries and, at this early stage of the season, no suspensions so Chris Agnello has a full squad to choose from for the games in Miami (Friday 4.30pm pacific KO) and Puerto Rico (Sunday 2pm pacific KO)...and that includes Mamba Chisoni, but not Salim Bullen who according to the release will not be in Portland until next Monday.

As the press release hints there should be game updates posted on portlandtimbers.com coming hot off the presses...well from the Timbers bench anyway.

Also the timberlog has learned that, according to a source close to the heart of the matter, the ownership saga is nearly over, being "99% done". Now I know what you're saying to yourselves (Bob Kellett. Stop muttering at the back), but this time it seems to be really only weeks away from an official announcement. As far as the day-to-day operation of PGE Park, the new group (to be called BPCLB - Beavers PCL Baseball, as far as I can tell) is already basically in charge so no major changes would be expected there.
